WOMEN ON FIRE is the brainchild and passion of Leah Shafer and Deanna Johnston. Both women have toured extensively as "star" vocalists - engaging audiences from Fortune 500 corporate events, to Top Line Casino Showrooms, to Mega Church stages. They have both been featured performers on national television: The Singing Bee(NBC), Rock Star INXS (CBS), Destination Stardom (PAX) and have headlined the same major venues as Reba McIntire, Martina McBride, and Ringo Starr. Both have recorded critically acclaimed albums.

BUT LEAH & DEANNA KNEW THERE HAD TO BE "MORE"
Success aside, all of the experiences have led Leah and Deanna to believe one thing: Music can mean so much more than the money. It should be about the message... the purpose. The purpose of Women on Fire is to empower and inspire other women. We want to encourage women to ignore those people who try to tell them that age and/or size are an obstacle to success. No one else can award you with self-respect.

AN "ALL FEMALE" TOURING CONCERT SERIES
Leah and Deanna have hand picked some of the country's most talented female performers to join them on stage for Women on Fire. The selection process was intense because each singer had to be a proven, solid performer able to captivate large crowds. She also had to be a seasoned singer, songwriter, recording artist, and possess a willingness to share her intimate journey. That journey often meant overcoming great obstacles and personal pain. You see, Women on Fire is much more than an evening of unforgettable original music by some of the best performers you've ever seen. This concert experience is also about stories of great personal struggle and tremendous triumph!

KEEPING IT REAL WITH RAW EMOTIONS
In fact, when you come to this show, you will probably wipe tears from your eyes. But you will also be moved to laugh, to dance and to sing along. You will be inspired by the ladies who come from all walks of life; but whose stories share a similar thread. They have all literally gone "through fire" to become Women on Fire. Now, these women are on fire ... for life!

WHAT KINDS OF STORIES?
Each of these women have scoured the depths of their souls to write heart-tugging, sassy and uplifting songs; based on their personal experiences of overcoming child abuse, drugs or alcohol, infidelity, divorce, or worse. But each of these women have refused to be victims of life - or victims of the uncertain music industry. They have taken charge and they aren't looking back!

THE AUDIENCE WILL FALL IN LOVE WITH THESE WOMEN
Life is harder than it looks. And while the Women on Fire performers may look like strong, beautiful, and talented women who have fun on stage, their music and stories will relate to those women in the audience who are currently struggling to find their purpose, who have felt lost, been betrayed, morally fallen or "humiliated" by someone they either love or work with. Women on Fire intends to bring these women hope! Women on Fire wants other women to know it is never too late to reinvent yourself!

We believe so! Women on Fire isn't just a performance that disappears when the stage lights dim. It is an energizing force that will hold your hand, educate you, and inspire you to be the best you can be - regardless of life's U-turns or unforseen obstacles.

WOMEN ON FIRE WILL SUPPORT YOU AFTER THE SHOW!
The Women on Fire website features an inspirational book club, cutting edge music, free articles, and other valuable resources (including counseling suggestions). Women on Fire will serve to help women cope with their own struggles - and to rejoice together in their victories. There will also be an interactive online forum so women can ask questions (and get answers) from the actual Women on Fire team. There will also be a Women on Fire magazine in the works (think "O" Magazine with music).
